St Gabriel's Church

Thanks to a gift from MapRA, a grant of £2000 from the London Historic Buildings Trust and a recent legacy from a local resident, the restoration of the clock and its chiming mechanism is complete. One important addition is a night silencer, so the bells are switched off at night, and ring only from 7am to 10pm. (Timings will be kept under review.)

Jane Morris, Vicar of St Gabrielís Church:

On behalf of St Gabrielís, may I extend a big thank you for the generous gift towards the refurbishment of our church clock.  I am sure you will agree that the clock is a local landmark and the work done to get it working for the first time in 15 years is appreciated by all.
