We are proud of the development of our Community Link project, whereby people are brought together variety of interests in common. Our overall aims are to encourage more members to join the activities to enhance community spirit. If you wish to start a new group contact us (contact) and we will help you initiate it.

Current active groups are:

Book club. We now have two book clubs; each meeting about once a month.

Blenheim Gardens Greening project. Transforming street street trees.

Bridge. For social bridge meeting each Monday

Gardening club. Covers variety of issues during the year. Organizes the front Gardens competition and the Open Gardens Day

Harvesting group. Going since 2011. In 2013 the group harvested as record 990 kilos of fruit. Donated to local groups. contact

Local history and architecture. Organizes meetings and lectures about every 2 months. Meeting details

Music group. The Ashford Place Monday morning Music Group is such a success we need more donated instruments like guitars, keyboards or anything musical.

Open Gardens Day. A very successful biennial event. The 2017 day on 25 June was a big success and raised the most ever for charity.

Singing Group. Every Tuesday 7-830 in term time. Now around 50 people. Next term starts January.

Theatre group. The theatre group organizes regular (about every 2 months) visits to various theatres with discussion group a few days later.

Walking group. Current project is walking interesting local walks in Brent.

Our most exciting community project to date is the Mapesbury Dell. The Dell trust has raised money from Council and lottery to renovate a once sad and neglected park in Hoveden Road. This park was finished in 2005 and has just won a Gold award from London in Bloom awards
