Stabbing

You probably have heard that a 40-year-old man was stabbed on Thursday afternoon in Willesden High Road NW10 and has died at the scene. It seems to have arisen after a fight on a 260 bus. A 42-year-old man has now been arrested at his home address in Willesden. Police are not searching for anyone else. They are treating the incident as isolated and say it is not thought to be gang related.
The police have spoken to some witnesses but would like to hear from more witnesses to fully establish the chain of events that led to a man losing his life in such a horrific way. Anyone with information is asked to phone 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD 5109/29Apr. To report anonymously, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Bit ironic as the Met police is in middle of week-long operation (Operation Sceptre) to tackle knife crime

They are hoping to raise a similar amount to help the fund. Many people in Brent are struggling financially. More about the fund.

Cricklewood Library update;

75 messages of support for NCIL bid, which is encouraging. However, in case the NCIL thing doesn't come off for whatever reason, Alan Carter, who has led the painting and shelf-assembling team at the library, has also started a Crowdfunder to get the new café complete.
