Brent Anti-Social Behaviour Team and Brent police officers, along with enforcement officers have been on patrol around the borough to address anti-social behaviour, violent crime, robbery, burglary, street drinking and women’s safety issues. Joint patrols between the police and council will also be concentrated in parks, open spaces and town centres to monitor and enforce anti-social use of fireworks over Halloween, Diwali and Bonfire night. Officers will be monitoring licence venues, checking CCTV, to address and enforce against anti-social behaviour, licence breaches, noise nuisance and sexual offences.
A Public Spaces Protection Order is in place to prohibit the use of unauthorised fireworks in all Brent’s parks and open spaces and anyone caught could be issued with a £100 fixed penalty notice.
