Apologies. It turns out I was wrong. The video doorbell offer was only available to people randomly selected. Sorry to those who went to St Gabrlel’s hall only to be turned away. (though given the problems I’ve had with it you may be lucky not to be chosen!)

EDF Scam? A member’s son is a customer of EDF electricity. EDF repeatedly increased the cost of his domestic direct debit. So that now he is £7000 in credit with them.
He has tried to change the payment but they will not reply . So allowing for summer usage he is heading for being £10,000 in credit, with them holding his money. The only answer seems to be to leave EDF. He suggests that people check what their utility company are taking from them?
Fake donation scam. If you're considering donating to victims of the Turkey-Syria earthquake, keep in mind that scammers are always lurking to take advantage of such a crisis. ‘Which’ magazine has found on social media, pages, posts and videos containing misleading or false information about the earthquake. This is in an attempt to get people to send funds, including Bitcoin and NFT donations. How to donate safely
Phoney HMRC tax refund emails. Fraudsters are impersonating HMRC and sending phoney tax refund emails. The emails include a link to ‘claim’ your refund. And if you click on the link, you’ll be taken to a website that puts you at risk of giving away your personal details to a scammer. HMRC will never send specific tax information (such as how much you owe or any rebates due to you) by email, so if you receive this email you can rest assured that it's a scam. More
