Cricklewood History Panel

The Cricklewood Town Team commissioned work by artist Freddie Needle on Cricklewood station. It is a montage of imagery in a variety of mediums, including her paintings, prints and photographs. Commuters using the new passenger waiting shelter on Platform 1 can now learn all about the area's rich history from the artwork panels. ULEZ expansion

As you probably know, the Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) is expanding from Monday 25 October. The ULEZ zone will now cover areas around the North Circular Road (A406) and South Circular Road (A205), operating 24 hours a day, every day of the year, except Christmas Day. The Central London ULEZ was introduced in April 2019and has helped to reduce roadside concentrations of the poisonous gas nitrogen dioxide in the central zone by nearly half. And on 1 March 2021, tougher standards for heavy vehicles operating with the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) were introduced. A new report  shows that six months on from their introduction, these changes are already delivering results. There is a £12.50 daily charge when driving within and into the expanded zone if your vehicle doesn’t meet the emission standards. Check if it does at: www.tfl.gov.uk/ulez-2021

New 159 anti-fraud hotline

Stop Scams UK and the Global Cyber Alliance have launched the ‘159’ pilot scheme to disrupt impersonation scammers who pose as banks or other firms to trick customers into sending them money (ie bank transfer or authorised push payment scams).
