Hope everyone enjoyed the Jubilee celebration; both nationa event and local. Show picture from the Olive Road Street party. Very well organised by Alex and his team.

(Apologies for state of last email as was away then and working on Mailchimp with a mobile is a nightmare.)

Bus route consultation

TfL are consulting on changes they want to make to bus routes: Locally they propose to:

  • Abolish Route 16 and Night route N16
  • Introduce a new N32 night bus Oxford Circus - Marble Arch – Edgware
  • Change the 189 so that it ends in Camden rather than Marble Arch as now
  • Change the 98 so that ends at Victoria rather than Oxford Street / Red Lion Square

Consultation link until 12 July
There are some gains and losses from this. But the loss of Route 16 is unfortunate; to get to Victoria from Cricklewood / Kilburn will need to change to 98. Let  me know what your think so we can also reflect your views.

Monkey Pox

Asked to send on this information.
Monkeypox is a rare virus illness and one of the symptoms is a rash that is sometimes confused with chickenpox. It is usually associated with travel to Central or West Africa but cases have been occurring in England with no travel links. It can be spread when someone comes into close contact with an infected person. The virus can enter the body through broken skin, the respiratory tract or through the eyes, nose or mouth. If you get infected with monkeypox, it usually takes between five and 21 days for the first symptoms to appear. Symptoms include fever, headache, muscle aches, backache, swollen lymph nodes, chills and exhaustion. A rash can develop, often beginning on the face, then spreading to other parts of the body. The rash changes and goes through different stages – a bit like chicken pox – before finally forming a scab, which later falls off.
