MapRA AGM

We have reluctantly decided to hold our AGM on zoom and not in St Gabriel’s church.
This is because of the relatively high (though reducing slowly) levels of Covid in Brent.
And several of our key helpers for the AGM have also expressed reluctance in attending.

So the AGM will again be on zoom. At 7.15 for 7.30 start on Wednesday 27 April. I will send out the zoom link the day before.

The format will be:  7.15-7.30  people enter zoom meeting
7.30  Welcome by chair Steve Iliffe
7.35  Summary of year . Gerry Weston
                                7.40  Financial accounts
7.45  Election of Chair, Secretary, Treasurer
(let me have any nominations beforehand)
                                7.50  Election of committee
                                  – keen to get extra people on committee – please volunteer
7.55  General Discussion / Questions on local Issues:
8.00 – 8.30  Hustings for  local elections on 5 May.
Each party will be allowed 2 minutes (to be shared by candidates as they wish). Followed by up to 20 minutes questions to candidates.

Vaccinations

Some members got their 4th vaccination on Thursday at Central Middlesex hospital; even if you haven't had a reminder they seem to be happy to treat you if you just walk in.
The address is: Park Royal Medical Centre - Health & Well-Being Hub Primary Care Centre, Central Middlesex Hospital, Acton Lane, London, NW10 7NS - 020 8961 1183
They do vaccinations on: Thursdays - 2pm-7pm and Saturdays - 9am-6pm

Also at: Willesden Centre for Health and Care, Robson Ave, London, NW10 3RY - 020 8438 7000, Saturdays - 10am - 4pm (walk-in appointments available)
And the vaccination clinic in the basement of the Central Mosque of Brent (just past WG station) will open on Sunday, 24 April from 10:00-15:00.

Local traders

Our website has recommendations from members for local traders (https://mapra.org.uk/local-traders). Several of these recommendations are rather out of date. If you have used someone from the list recently please let me know your experience so I can update the information.

Happy Easter.
