Phoney Amazon texts. ‘Which’ magazine reports that scammers impersonating Amazon are sending texts asking you to follow a link to secure your account following attempted logins, which is a typical tactic to incite panic. If you click the link it takes you to a convincing fake Amazon website where you’re prompted to enter your login details. The website could look genuine enough if you don’t take time to assess it. Here’s what to watch out for

Mapesbury Fete. The left over items at our fete in July – from bric-a-brac, books etc; were donated to St Lukes charity shop and raised £252. Will be used by the charity for the provision of free end of life care for people in Harrow and Brent. Extra value for community.

Tree stumps: I have reported some overgrown street tree stumps. And now understand that Mapesbury is one of the next areas they’ll be dealing with, stump wise, and should be mostly cleared by the end of winter.
