Planning the future of Cricklewood

Message from Councillor Lia Colacicco.
"The B&Q development will go before the Barnet planning committee over the next few months. Some people welcome over 1000 much needed new homes. Others think the tall towers will be the end of Cricklewood as we know it. Either way it has led to an increasing number of residents approaching me, worrying about the number of new developments planned over the next 2-15 years, and the apparent lack of planning for infrastructure such as doctors, dentists, police, schools, sport, leisure, roads, public transport, safety.

Part of the problem is that being split between Brent, Barnet and Camden there is no overall vision, no masterplan. In short we have a very tiny window of opportunity so I would love to hear residents’ views on the short and long term future of Cricklewood".

Contact her at Cllr.Lia.Colacicco@brent.gov.uk / chat to her at the fete. And there is a Twittter poll on @Liacolacicco
