Brent Cross murder

You will no doubt have heard about this At 18:45 on Tuesday 4 May a 21-year-old man was stabbed and then died at the scene. An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and another man, believed to be aged 18, has been arrested on suspicion of affray. The shopping centre was open at the time and it is likely there were many witnesses. The police ask anyone with information to:
  • call 101, providing the reference CAD6136/04MAY
  • contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Cars stolen for scrap

Good news; A habitual motor vehicle thief who went on an eight-month offending spree across Brent and Harrow has been jailed for 6 months on 11 counts. He used his recovery vehicle to steal 11 vehicles parked on the street, then took them to a scrapyard in Buckinghamshire, and sold them using a scrap metal licence.

Great British Spring Clean..  

…is back in Brent! From 28 May to 13 June, Brent is supporting community clean up events with gloves, litter pickers and bags and will clear away the bags afterwards. It is an annual event organised by Keep Britain Tidy to bring together #LitterHeroes across the country through local action. Last year, over 150 Brent volunteers from community groups to local businesses collected 300 bags across local streets, parks, estates and canals! Let me know any ideas for what MapRA can organise and will discuss at committee meting next Thursday 13 May.
