Value of MapRA printed newsletters. Thanks for the response to the survey; About 25% value the printed newsletter; 30% would be happy with it online; 45% only need the weekly emails. Discussed at our committee meeting yesterday and we decided to keep the March / April printed newsletter. But the Xmas one would become a more information oriented page or two; with a printed version for those not on email or others who request it.
 

Quiz and Raffle. At St Gabriels’s church Friday 14 October 7.30pm. This is a fundraiser for the CAP Debt Centre at St Gabriel's. Celebration event. Marking 100 years anniversary of Willesden Trades and Labour Hall and its links to working class history in Brent. Saturday 15th October at 7pm.  The event will be at Brent Black Music Co-op, 385, High Road, NW10 2JR.  It will feature Dawn Butler, MP, Chris Coates (historian), Fitzroy who will speak about the Apollo Club, Professor Sundari Anitha on the Grunwick Strike and Akubu, Reggae Band.   Tickets are £20 from www.tinyurl.com/brentevent100 The event is jointly organised by Brent Trades Union Council and Willesden Trades and Labour Hall Society.

Bee keeping talk. Friday 28 October 7.30 pm at West Hamstead Community Centre, 17 Dornfell Street. Talk  by David Scott who began beekepping locally a few years ago; he will tralkk about his experioneces, and hopefully have some of his honeyfopr sale. £3-6. Inf and to book eventbrite  link
