| Petition (on WG station shopfronts) update Clare Richardson reports that TfL and Places for London are now providing information, and things are finally starting to move. Shop 1: The lease completed on Monday and the tenant will now move into the fit-out stage. This unit will operate as a convenience store. Shops 7 & 9: These are expected to complete within the next two to three months, subject to the tenant finalising fit-out approvals for their Licence to Alter and the installation of the relevant utilities. This will be a high-quality independent coffee and gifting offering. The remaining units will be used as pop-up spaces. If you know of any local businesses that may be interested in trialling a pop-up unit, message clare at clarerichardson1@mac.com. Clare is also waiting for Brent’s Town Centre Manager to provide a more detailed response to requests regarding the outside space and how it can be made safer, friendlier, and greener — including ideas such as market stalls, green space, and improved community use. Bridge tunnel signage in Cricklewood Lane has been refreshed with colourful artwork. The original tunnel signage was installed by the Cricklewood Town Team over 10 years ago with permission from Network Rail and is regularly cleaned by residents. However, water ingress and graffiti eroded the paintwork, which has now been restored. This project was funded by High Street and Places (HS&P) Capital Grant Fund. Cricklewood Town Team commissioned Wood Street Walls to deliver the artwork. Willesden Green station gardening team A keen team of, mostly young, volunteers is carrying out upgrade work on the station gardens on platform 1 and 4 and Willesden Green station. They are still looking for new volunteers to help particularly with some heavy digging and pruning .
