 Brent Summer Streets 2026 Brent Council invite all to take part in Summer Streets 2026, a Mayor of London-funded programme bringing events and activities to town centres throughout the summer. It is designed to make our high streets more welcoming, lively and enjoyable places to visit. Through outdoor dining, live entertainment, cultural activities, family-friendly events and support for local businesses, Summer Streets encourages people to spend time in and enjoy their local town centres. Kilburn Grange Park summer Saturdays Enjoy activities for adults and children from 2-5.30pm. Join in with arts and crafts, browse bargain bric-a-brac, paint a flowerpot, try pilates, get your face painted (£5), dance to live music, have a 20-minute massage and reflexology (£20), be healed, plus surprise stalls, some with a Latin American flavour GA CPZ Review Consultation Brent Council are to review parking restriction times currently in operation in Zone GA controlled parking zone (CPZ). (some of our members are in zone GA) The Zone GA CPZ was originally introduced in 2005 and has subsequently been extended. The scheme boundaries and operational hours of 10am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, were established following public consultation undertaken at the time. In recent years, the Council has received concerns from residents regarding increased parking pressure on several roads outside the current CPZ operating hours. Residents have therefore requested that the existing operational hours be reviewed. In addition, the Council has received petitions from residents seeking a reassessment of the current CPZ hours to determine whether they continue to meet local parking needs. Brent Council invites residents to contribute to shaping its next Council Plan, a document that will help set the direction for the Council’s services and investment over the next four years, by taking part in a borough-wide survey: Link The survey is open until 31 August 2026, 23:59. Fly tipping … … may be on the increase, but it is very easy to report it to Brent Council, and they will remove it within a couple of days, or even the same day. You can also report any trees which need trimming if there are any small branches growing from the base of the trunk and blocking the pavement or the road. If you see fly tipping, please either use the App “Fix My Street” or email Brent Customer Service (customer.service@brent.gov.uk). Send them a photo and the location, description and size, street name, and number of nearest house. If there are no houses, the nearest landmark. If your street needs a clean and they haven’t been for a while, email or ‘phone (020 8937 1234) Brent Customer Services and they will send someone. Underused Excellent NHS Urgent Treatment Unit (UTU): Cllr Tariq Dar attended the UTU at Central Middlesex Hospital with a minor fracture to his arm and thoroughly recommends the service. And thinks the service is underused; more people should be aware that it is there for minor injuries, as it provides excellent care without needing to attend a busy A&E department.
