Encouraging results from local Police (via Met engage)
Last week results for OP Terminos. (op Terminos is a joint borough operation focusing on crime along the Kilburn High Road / Cricklewood Broadway)
45 arrests; 74 vehicles seized; 1161 suspect stolen mobile phones recovered; 3 machetes, 5 knives seized. £3,000 worth of NOS – class C drug. 3 sacks of illegal tobacco seized by trading standards. 10 warnings issued to licensed premises for breaches
Thank you to all residents that report incidents and intelligence and please keep report. Further patrols and checks to be conducted.
It is really worth signing up to Met Engage as that is where all the Police information is now set up and where you can share. I don’t think any other social media is monitored, so best to forget about Facebook and X. The Met are pushing hard on Met Engage. One can join more than one group; e.g. might be worth joining Willesden Green or Brondesbury or Dollis Hill as well as Cricklewood and Mapesbury. Sign Up – Met Engage

PayPal ‘1p’ deposit scam warning
Watch out for a genuine PayPal email that scammers are manipulating to lure you into a phone scam. The fraudster first deposits 1p into your PayPal account, which triggers a genuine email from PayPal about the deposit. The email tells you to call a number if you don’t recognise the transaction, but that number will connect you to a scammer. Find out how this scam works and what to do if you receive one of these emails or calls.
