| Sainsburys Willesden Carpark Update I understand that Sainsburys have now formally responded to petition about the charges. They believe that their new parking arrangements are popular with their customers and so they will not be making any changes. The 20 minutes free parking, with up to 90 minutes free for customers who pay a minimum of £10, will stay in place. The only concession they have offered is to improve the signage for Blue Badge holders to make it clear that badges can be registered with their Customer Service desk for 3 months to be able to use the Disabled Parking Bays (thereafter, those customers will need to remember to re-register every 3 months as the registration will expire). Brent has received complaints regarding vehicles parking in the parking bay, located close to the junction with Anson Road. Complaints are that vehicles parked obstruct access and create visibility issues for drivers entering or exiting this section of the road. Therefore, they are proposing to remove the existing parking bay and extend the double yellow lines from the junction. There is a consultation document sent to all affected frontages. Jigsaw Puzzle Library Gloria Gee in Keyes Road is starting up a Jigsaw Puzzle Library for Mapesbury residents. If you would like to be added to the contact list to be sent pictures of what’s available, please contact Gloria at gloria.gee2@ntlworld.com.
